Ciclos Amazônia 4.0 Welcomes Indigenous Women for Knowledge Exchange on Climate Change
This August 8th is a very special moment for the Amazonia 4.0 Institute. In partnership with the Union of Indigenous Women of the Brazilian Amazon (UMIAB) and with the support of WWF, we are starting our Ciclos Amazônia – year II.
.
This is our annual forum for debate on issues related to climate change and the bioeconomy. Due to the significance of this moment, it was also chosen to inaugurate our blog posts.
.
The II Ciclos Amazônia 4.0 workshop will be dedicated to the perspective of the indigenous woman. At the heart of the discussions will be the mission to bring forth a new and integrated vision for topics such as health, cultural appreciation, ancestral knowledge, and the importance of female leadership in maintaining ecosystem services, and how these topics are connected to forest conservation and climate change. [Insert event art] We are in Manaus today and tomorrow – with women representing various ethnic groups in the Legal Amazon, as well as scientists with relevant scientific work on the topics covered.

You are very welcome.
