Amazônia 4.0 runs course for Pará’s municipal innovation agents
With the aim of working in the Northern region’s ecosystem, empowering its communities on the one hand and preparing public managers to work in the bioeconomy, innovation and technological potential on the other, the Amazonia 4.0 Institute, through its Amazonia 4.0 Academy, this week began training for municipal public authorities, together with BioTec-Amazônia.
The training is part of the Program Desenvolve Pará, operated by BioTec-Amazônia, in partnership with the Amazônia 4.0 Institute, which is promoting these trainings in Santarém for the Municipal Agents of the Lower Amazon region of Pará this week and subsequently in Belém, for the audience from the Marajó region, during the week of November 21 to 25.
In the course, municipal managers are familiarizing themselves with the possibilities for innovations in the local bioeconomy through comprehensive and customized training.
The course was designed to take place in modules, totaling 30 hours. The main modules of the course focus on information systems and legislation, bioeconomics and regional development, project development in bioeconomics and, of course, methodologies. The course also includes local socio-economic approaches, a fundamental topic for those living in the Amazon rainforest.
The teachers and collaborators of this training are:
- Ismael Nobre, a biologist from the Federal University of São Carlos; PhD in Human Dimensions of Natural Resources from Colorado State University in the USA and a post-doctorate in Population and Environmental Studies from the State University of Campinas who is also the leader of the Amazonia 4.0 Institute.
- Georgia Cunha, professor and class coordinator of the Master in Business Innovation (MBI) at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar). She has a Master’s degree in Sustainability Management and Corporate Social Responsibility from Bocconi in Milan and an MBA in Strategic Project Management from FGV-SP.
- Wander Oliveira, is an economist, a specialist in S&T Management and Professional and Technological Education from the School of Governance of the state of Pará, with a Master’s Degree in Intellectual Property, a PhD in Knowledge Management and works as a business management consultant.
- Edilaine Menezes, who has a degree in Sanitary Engineering from UFPA, a specialist in S&T Management and Professional and Technological Education from the School of Governance of the state of Pará, and a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from UFPA, works to stimulate the structuring of regional innovation systems, in the management of professional training and has experience in implementing and monitoring innovation environments in Pará.
“In a nutshell, this training is an important step towards building local and regional ecosystems of innovation, sustainability and business in the Amazon territories. It will be a bridge between technological possibilities and potential and local communities, fostering the socio-economic and sustainable development of the state of Pará, optimizing the use of resources and the collective sharing of results,” said Ismael Nobre.
