“More than a dream, the project is moving from paper to reality”
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE AMAZONIA 4.0 INSTITUTE TALKS TO THE NEWSPAPER VALOR ECONÔMICO ABOUT THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE AMAZON CREATIVE LABS (ACL’S) IN THE AMAZON.
In mid-January, in an interview with the newspaper Valor Econômico, Ismael Nobre, Executive Director of the Instituto Amazônia 4.0, spoke about the research and construction of the Amazon Creative Labs.
During the interview, Ismael gave details of the process and the challenges involved in structuring the ACL project since it was just an idea.
With implementation phase approaching, the newspaper highlights:
“More than a dream, the project is moving from paper to reality. After the initial ‘kick-off’, scheduled for March, the four communities will be trained for eight months.” (Valor Econômico newspaper – 2023)
For this phase the four communities will receive the highly technological mobile and removable biofactories with space for classes. This will be the first sample of the project’s effectiveness in adding value to the cupuaçu and cocoa production chain handled by those communities.

Ismael highlighted the support of collaborators, companies and investors in the project. He detailed the technologies used, accessibility and innovation both for the sector and for the Amazon. Mainly because traditional communities won’t have to go through the same steps as chocolate companies, as the biofactory technologies already make the process easier.
The Executive Director of the Amazonia 4.0 Institute also commented on the expansion of biofactories throughout the Amazon and to other production chains besides cocoa and cupuaçu. If I were you, I wouldn’t miss the details of this conversation, so check out the full article on the Valor Econômico newspaper website.
