Paulo Nobre

Researcher at the National Institute for Space Research – INPE. Holds a degree in Meteorology from the University of São Paulo, a master’s in Meteorology from INPE, a PhD in Meteorology from the University of Maryland, and a post-doctorate from Columbia University. He is the coordinator of the development of the Brazilian Earth System Model – BESM and works on the following topics: coupled ocean-cryosphere-biosphere-atmosphere modeling; oceanography of the Tropical Atlantic; sea ice; seasonal climate predictability and global climate change.
